What a session involves

Sessions are built around exercise: strength, mobility and movement work that you do with a member of our rehabilitation team. Most also include some assisted stretching.

If you would like exercises to do at home between sessions, ask for them.

Who you will see

Our rehabilitation team in Itaewon includes Don Lee, Changyoung Kim and Yumi (Ji Young Bae), our CEO and cofounder. Yumi has a master’s degree from Nam Seoul University and trained in rehabilitation exercise at the Korean Institute of Exercise Education. Don has a master’s degree from Hanseo University.

Our Jeju branch offers rehabilitation too: someone from the team travels down from Seoul once or twice a month. To book in Jeju, email cwcjeju@gmail.com.

Rehabilitation questions we are asked most

How is rehabilitation different from a massage?

Rehabilitation sessions are built around exercise that you do with your practitioner, usually with some assisted stretching. Massage is hands-on throughout. You can book both.

How long is a rehabilitation session?

You choose the length when you book: 25, 50, 80 or 110 minutes. If you are not sure which to choose, ask reception.

Do I need to see a chiropractor first?

No. Rehabilitation can be booked on its own. If you also see one of our chiropractors, reception can book the two one after another.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothing you can move and stretch in — anything you would wear to the gym works well.

Can you bill my international insurance directly?

We bill TSS directly for the staff plans of the schools listed on our insurance page; your card may say TieCare International or GBG. With any other international insurer, you pay at your visit, then submit the claim yourself with the PDF invoice and supporting documents we prepare, or have us submit it on your behalf (please contact us in advance). Not covered: Korean national/private insurance or Tricare.
