After your consultation, a digital image of your front and side posture is evaluated by our posture analysis equipment to detect where your problem areas exist. Massage is the treatment and practice of soft tissue manipulation with physical, functional, i.e. mechanical, medical/therapeutic, and in some cases psychological purposes and goals.[1] The word comes from the French massage “friction of kneading,” possibly from Arabic massa “to touch, feel, handle” or from Latin massa “mass, dough”. [2][3] (In distinction the ancient Greek word for massage itself was anatripsis [4], and the Latin was frictio.) An older etymology may even have been the Hebrew me-sakj “to anoint with oil.”
Massage involves acting on and manipulating the patient’s body with pressure (structured, unstructured, stationary, and/or moving), tension, motion, or vibration done manually or with mechanical aids. Target tissues may include muscles, tendons, ligaments, skin, joints, or other connective tissue, as well as lymphatic vessels, and/or organs of the gastrointestinal system. Massage can be applied with the hands, fingers, elbows, forearm, and feet. There are over eighty different massage modalities. [5] The most cited reasons for introducing massage have been patient demand and perceived clinical effectiveness.[6]
In professional settings massage involves the client being treated while lying on a massage table, sitting in a massage chair, or lying on a mat on the floor. The massage subject may be fully or partly unclothed. Parts of the body may be covered with towels or sheets.

Pilates (pronounced /pɨˈlɑːtiːz/) is a physical fitness system developed in the early 20th century by Joseph Pilates in Germany.[1] As of 2005, there are 11 million people who practice the discipline regularly and 14,000 instructors in the United States.[2]
Pilates called his method Contrology (from control and Greek -λογία, -logia), because he believed his method uses the mind to control the muscles.[3] The program focuses on the core postural muscles which help keep the body balanced and which are essential to providing support for the spine. In particular, Pilates exercises teach awareness of breath and alignment of the spine, and aim to strengthen the deep torso muscles.

Chiropractic adjustments make sense. Like lifting a heavy rock off your toe, most patients report their chiropractic adjustments feel good. When the bones of the spine return to a more normal position and motion, nervous system function can be restored, symptoms relieved, and the natural healing process can proceed.

Your care schedule is based on the experience of thousands of doctors with millions of patients. Just as you can’t expect to get in shape by working out just once or twice, you can’t expect meaningful changes to your health with just a few chiropractic visits!
Each adjustment builds on the one before. Missing or postponing visits can interfere with the “retraining” of your spine. The best way to receive the excellent results that millions of chiropractic patients have enjoyed is to keep your appointments. |

| EAT THE RIGHT FOODS |
Proper nutrition is especially important. Increase your intake of raw fruits and vegetables.

| GET THE PROPER REST |
When combined with regular chiropractic adjustments, proper rest can help heal and regenerate your body.
Sleep on a mattress that offers firm support, lying on your back or your side. Make sure your pillow provides proper support. Too thick or thin and it can distort the curve in your neck. The latest research indicates that patients with spinal problems should avoid extended bed rest. Yet, when getting adequate sleep each night, it’s important that the time you spend resting doesn’t make your problem worse! |
